Escape from Tarkov PC Compatibility Checklist for Nexus
A practical pre-purchase checklist for confirming that a Windows PC is ready for Nexus EFT.
Run these checks before buying Nexus EFT. The goal is to catch common Windows, hardware, and security-tool conflicts before a license is activated.
Start with the Nexus System Checker
Download the System Checker from the Nexus homepage and run it on the same PC that will use the launcher. Keep the result available if you need to contact support.
The checker is a first-pass compatibility tool. A successful result does not replace product-specific notices posted in the customer dashboard or Discord.
- Use the PC that will actually run Nexus.
- Do not activate a key until compatibility questions are resolved.
- Compare the checker result with the current product requirements.
Confirm the Windows and hardware basics
Install current Windows updates, confirm the system clock is correct, and make sure the primary network adapter is enabled. Nexus uses online license verification and a stable device identity.
- 64-bit Windows installation.
- A stable internet connection for sign-in and launch verification.
- Enough free disk space for temporary launcher files.
- Administrator access when a product step explicitly requires elevation.
Avoid changing device identity during setup
Major hardware changes, firmware resets, or network-adapter replacement can change the device information available to Windows. Complete those changes before activating a license.
Disconnecting from the internet should not by itself change the device identity. If a key reports another device after a normal reconnect, stop and contact support rather than repeatedly resetting the key.
What to send support
If the checker reports a warning, send the complete checker result, your Windows version, and a screenshot of the message. Never post a full license key in a public channel.
Common questions
Should I activate my key before checking compatibility?
No. Run the checker and resolve compatibility questions before the first activation, because timed access begins when the key is successfully activated.
Does a successful check guarantee compatibility forever?
No. Game, Windows, driver, and Nexus updates can change requirements. Review the current product notice before each major update.
